Keraza 2011 Policies
Section 1 – Registration Changes (Additions)
1. If you wish to ADD additional people to your team, Please inform us via e-mail of the additional names (before August 11th) and we will send you an invoice via Paypal for the amount difference.
2. If the invoice has not been paid before (August 12), those extra additional members will not be allowed to participate.
Section 2 – Registration Changes (Subtractions/Refunds)
1. All refund requests will be handled AFTER the competition date. There will be no refunds beforehand.
Section 3 – Registration Changes (Exchange people)
1. If someone is being replaced on your team and is unable to participate, and if you have already paid for the correct number of people, you may swap in other person. 75% of THE TEAM should be retained. Maximum number of change is 3 participants of the 12 team members.
2. If you have swapped someone, please e-mail us the correct names, so we may correct the registration file.
3. NO Name changes are allowed after August 13. Team members who participate in the Hymns Competition on August 13 MUST compete on the same team on August 27 or the team will be disqualified."
Section 4 – Examination & Scoring
1. On August 13, each team will be given an oral hymns exam (by appointment only) at one of the 3 centers. An email will be sent to each team with time and location of team’s hymns testing. The exam will be video recorded by the center and will be sent to a central committee to be scored. Team member’s names will be recorded on August 13.
2. On August 27, Each Team, who participated on August 13 hymns competition, will take a written exam consisting a mix of approximately 40 multiple choice questions/fill in the blanks/and true false questions along with 10 short answer/(essay questions for Adults only)
3. Memorization testing will be an oral examination, NOT a written examination. Exam will be on August 27
4. On August 27, the entire team will be asked who has memorized their memorization portions, those who have responded “yes” will be asked to recite it various parts. Those who responded with a “no” will be deducted a point number.
5. We will not be using the regular ranking format of 1st, 2nd, 3rd. for this year, but a new rank system instead.
6. Scores will NOT be released to anyone under ANY circumstance. Do not ask the committee for scores.
